Is Taylor Swift getting married at MSG? What we know about nuptials to Travis Kelce – NBC New York

Speculation around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is reaching new heights.
The New York Times on Wednesday reported on the existence of a permit requesting to close the streets around Madison Square Garden on and around July 3.
A spokesperson for Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s office confirmed a few details of the permit to NBC News, but would not share the actual document or say who filed it.
According to that spokesperson, the permit requests a crowd size between 500 and 999 people. The permit also requests a tent and street closures around The Garden between July 2 and July 4.
Rumors have been flying ahead of the couple’s nuptials, which is sure to be one of the most closely-watched wedding events in recent years. Reports of a possible ceremony in Rhode Island earlier this month proved unfounded, but triggered a fresh wave of speculation.
The Times had additional sources that said multiple members of the Kansas City Chiefs booked hotel rooms in Manhattan for that weekend.
If Swift and Kelce, in fact, are planning a wedding at MSG next week, they will be part of an already busy weekend for the city. New York, already bustling with World Cup tourists, is hosting a flotilla of tall ships on July 4 in addition to the annual holiday fireworks show in celebration of the country’s 250th birthday.
