NYC’s new Little Island in the Hudson River resembles a leaf floating on water with a base of tulip-shaped pots and seating lawns, gentle slopes, winding pathways leading to dazzling views, and a variety of spaces for performances, play rest and relaxation. The island is open daily and for 2023, no reservations or tickets are required to visit or attend any of the programming.

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade, held annually on the second Sunday in June enhances the pride of the Puerto Rican people and promotes their contributions to the United States.

Note: This parade is one of the most popular events in NYC, so getting around NYC on this day, especially on the East Side or anywhere near Museum Mile is a challenge. Please plan accordingly.

The New York Philharmonic performs Tchaikovsky, Gershwin and more outside on the Great Lawn in Central Park and across all our boroughs a few nights every summer.
