The Redmi K90 Pro Max has a Bose 2.1 stereo sound system with a woofer

Ahead of its full unveiling on October 23, Redmi keeps revealing new details about the K90 Pro Max. Recently it’s confirmed a few of its main specs, and today it’s back to tell us all about the Bose-branded sound system built into the phone.
The K90 Pro Max has two “ultra-linear speakers”, presumably in the usual configuration (one at the bottom, the other at the top), but the novelty here is the “large independent woofer” that features on the back of the device, to the right of its cameras. This is Bose branded, and Bose has also contributed to the tuning of the entire speaker system.
Redmi K90 Pro Max sound system teasers
Redmi promises “full bass”, whatever that means, along with “rich details” and “clear vocals”, and tells us that we should get ready for “a new era of mobile acoustics”. Interestingly, the brand has stayed mum on how loud the K90 Pro Max’s sound system will get – perhaps that’s a reveal for another day, we’ll have to wait and see.
In case you missed our previous report, the K90 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It has a 6.9″ OLED screen with an RGB sub-pixel arrangement, and supports DC dimming across the full brightness spectrum (which goes down to 1 nit at night). The main camera has a big 1/1.31″ type sensor, and there’s an ultrawide too, as well as a periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom. The lights are kept on by a 7,560 mAh battery with support for 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
