Meta’s VP of Analytics Announces New Book on Meta Ads Approaches


Looking to get a better handle on Facebook advertising, and the varying elements of Meta’s ad systems?

This could help. Meta’s chief marketing officer and VP of analytics has anounced a new book called “Click Here”, which will provide insider notes on the development of Meta’s various ad algorithms and processes.

It looks like a fairly generic marketing book, and you might not give it a second thought (if you’re one of those cover-judging types). But the fact that it’s been written by Meta’s head of analytics could make this a particularly important read.

As explained by Meta:

To help all businesses grow, today we announced, the future publication of ‘CLICK HERE: The Art and Science of Digital Marketing and Advertising’ by Alex Schultz, Meta’s Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Analytics. In CLICK HERE, Alex will share key principles and best practices to achieve growth through digital marketing. Providing advice for everything from picking the right channels, to testing creative, to using generative AI, to building accurate measurement tools – this will be the essential guide that marketers at every level need to succeed.”

Aside from working at Meta, Shultz has also built an instructional site on how to build paper airplanes, which has grown to be the world’s largest of its kind. He’s also worked at eBay and has advised various startups and entrepreneurs, including Airbnb and Coursera.

For the last 17 years, however, Schultz has been at Meta, contributing to the development and evolution of its various ad serving systems, giving him invaluable insight into how to maximize Meta’s tools.

It could be one to add to your bedside pile, with some valuable notes that could re-shape your Meta ads approach.
