Police are on the hunt for a Brooklyn subway slashing suspect who allegedly attacked a man nodding off on board a train on Sunday.

According to law enforcement sources, the bloody incident occurred at around 8:40 a.m. on March 9 at the Utica Avenue and Eastern Parkway station on the 4 train.

The 31-year-old victim was sitting and sleeping on the train when the brazen brute came up to him and slashed him on the face with an unknown object, police said.

It is unclear right now if the perp said anything before committing the terrifying act. They did not know each other, authorities said.

After assaulting the man, the perp bailed, fleeing on foot to parts unknown before officers from the 77th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 32 arrived.

Meanwhile, EMS brought the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.

Police on Monday released surveillance photos and video of the suspect, who remains at large.  He is described as having a medium complexion, is approximately 25 to 35 years old, and stands about 6 feet tall with a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket, black pants and red and black sneakers.

So far, no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.
