Imagine being a capybara, teaming up with your chicken and lemur buddies to join the greatest snowboarding tournament, but as soon as the training starts, a big evil tries to sabotage it all? Who might that be, why are there billboards everywhere saying to vote for hamster as mayor? And why is this snowman attacking us?
But no reason to panic! Not all events need you to be on the lookout for opponents that want to take you down, but offer a relaxing snowboarding experience. However, in those other modes you need to fight fire with fire. Grab a red item box for projectiles or a blue item box for protection or boost-type items. Pro-tip: If you look back, you can shoot projectiles backwards to block incoming items or charge up a jump and hop over an incoming rocket at the last split-second.
If that is not enough to win the game, then grab a couple of friends! Because all of Slopecrashers can be played together with up to four players locally. Just grab another controller and once you are in character selection, press (A) to join. Furthermore, online multiplayer also got the co-op treatment. Once you create a lobby in the game, choose either competitive play (up to eight players) or co-op (up to four players) and progress through the game together, even when you are not at the same place physically.
Stunts. Combo. Boost. Repeat
Just getting up to speed and steering down the slope won’t be enough to win the tournament though. Use tricks wherever possible to not just gain style points but also charge up your boost bar. Keep an eye on your combo timer and do a board press to slow it down. Make sure to do another trick before the combo runs out to build up your multiplier for even more points and more boost!
Speaking of boost: You could just use the boost to gain some speed on a straight away, or you could be on the lookout for ramps or ramp-shaped objects and use them for an extra big jump that might lead directly into a shortcut. Make sure to explore the tracks thoroughly or check out where the ghost medals in time attack are driving so you know all the quickest paths when your time comes to compete in online multiplayer!

All this boost speed might make it tricky to stay on the track, but there are a few ways you can make your life on the slopes easier.
First, make sure to keep an eye on the stats of your chosen animal and board. All of them play slightly different so you might need to experiment a bit with your choices. Also bring some equipment with you. In the beginning you will only have gliders to your avail, but over time you will unlock other gadgets like grappling hooks, jetpacks or rocket thrusters. All these gadgets have their own playstyle and will help you gain some control whenever you are in the air.
Furthermore, you can play the whole game at a more relaxing pace. Just change the speed class the next time you choose what to play in the main menu or change the bot difficulty in the game options to fit your skill level. Slopecrashers also has automatically enabled little helper tools that are designed to make the game more accessible. Stunt safety is always calculating if a trick will result in a crash and ends it for you before that happens and auto acceleration will bring you up to speed when you are slow. Every player can toggle these in character selection or in the pause menu during a race.
